@Tvmonster666 - it is not only for light. All forces/radiation etc diminish as the inverse of the square of the distance. The gravitational law is defined as g = m1xm2*G/D^2 where D^2 is the square of the distance. Read about it in any science book on the subject.

@Tvmonster666 The only effects other planets have on us is gravitational, and that depends on both mass and distance. The gravitational influence of other planets on the earth are tiny but measurable, however these effects on individual humans are not: the gravitational field produced by the person next to you is too small to measure but is billions of times stronger than that from the planets! Look up the inverse square law and learn something.
